A Friend, A Priest, A Martyr
It is my belief that the Christian Community must take control of the Internet before the Internet takes control of us. In the Transfiguration story of Jesus Christ, Peter says to Jesus, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." Jesus realizes that it would be too easy for them to remain and bask in the light that was before them, but there was much to be done to fulfill the "Law" and the "Prophets." There is a message that needs to be proclaimed and it is now our responsibility to proclaim it.

It was Bishop Fulton J. Sheen who stated: "Not one hundred in the United States hate the Roman Catholic Church, but millions hate what they mistakenly think that the Roman Catholic Church is." In 1940 he conducted what was believed to be the first religious service ever broadcast. I dedicate my web site to him, if he were alive today he would praise us for our efforts to proclaim the Gospel through the use of the Internet.

I bought my first domain name, homilies.com on Feb. 25, 1999 and I appreciate greatly the many thanks I have recieved from the thousands of priest who visit it regularly. This is just a hobby of mine. Before I became pastor of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida, I had much more time to spend on them but now my time is limited.  I hope you enjoy my sites.

Together may we always walk in the Light of Christ.
